Single’s Day in China is a day to celebrate being on your own, unattached and alone. Four men are believed to have invented the holiday as their protest to Valentine’s Day. China is the country of the one-child policy and it was so effective that two generations later, Chinese men and women are alone and lonely at a scale unprecedented in our time.
